WHAT IS BE RESILIENT TRAINING?
Be Resilient Training
An introduction to the 8 TENETS OF RESILIENCY that interplay in
our own personal experiences and arm you with the tools to find resiliency and live well. By bringing these
tenets together into one complete curriculum, whole health healing can be achieved. We will teach you to
recognize, respond, and recover.
OVERVIEW
This is the longest war our country has faced. Our military population is constantly training, fighting, and deploying. The need for resiliency training pre and post-deployment is founded. With the current enemy weaponry and sub-concussive blast exposure, our nation’s servicemembers remain exposed to continuous reverberations. Mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI)which is synonymous with a concussion is the signature injury of the current conflict with over 400,000 registered brain injuries per the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center. Focusing on sleep, stress management, nutrition, and exercise help treat MTBI, PTSD, moral injury, and chronic pain.
Why this training is effective?
Be Resilient Training focuses on whole health care: psychologically, physically, spiritually, and socially. Dealing with mild traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and moral injury is not an easy feat. Focusing on stress management, a proper sleep regimen, and pain control can be liberating. Utilizing the ideal fuel and nutrition we put into our bodies and expending our energy is the essence of living a balanced life. Addressing all four components is key to determining the root cause of the problem and being able to implement successful techniques to promote resiliency.
8 TENETS OF RESILENCY

• MTBI: rest, recovery, reassurance
• PTSD: traditional and alternative treatments
• Moral Injury: spiritual practices and esprit de corps
• Stress: mind, body medicine
• Sleep: quality and hygiene
• Chronic Pain: break the vicious cycle
• Fuel: feed the machine
• Exercise: activity for brain and body
